~ The Abbeys at Tintern and Dunbrody: These are really impressive ruins. Tintern is particularly lovely and there are great walks in the surrounding woodlands.
~ The JF Kennedy Memorial Arboretum: Lovely walking through maturing trees and shrubs. Or you can take the pony and trap. Don't miss the view from Slieve Coilte, a hill rising to about 800 feet to the north of the arboretum.
~ The Dunbrody Famine Ship at New Ross: A magnificent tall ship with regular tours. New Ross is famous for its association with the late President of the United States. He visited a few months before he was assassinated, an event still remembered with pride and affection by the townspeople. Outside the town is the old Kennedy Homestead where his ancestors lived and worked.
~ The Ros Tapestry: A contemporary work of art that is absolutely not to be missed. It records the history of New Ross from Celtic times.
