Step over the threshold and 'step back in time' with antique furnishings and period features blended with modern applicances including an alarm system. Low doors, steep stairs, and uneven floors are all part of its charm. There is no TV but lots of countryside with popular walking trails and bicycle routes.

Situated in Skreen,10 miles from Ballisodare and 14 miles away is Tubbercurry; the 2nd largest town in Sligo lying at the foot of the Ox Mountains. There are several lively bars, gourmet restaurants and traditional Irish pubs to be enjoyed.
~ Visit the Carrowkeel Tombs; an ancient passage tomb cluster in south Sligo. They were built in the 4th millennium BC. The tombs are on the Bricklieve Hills overlooking Lough Arrow.
~ Visit Sligo County Museum; containing a collection of exhibits detailing Sligo's rich stone-age history. The Yeats Room is full of manuscripts, photographs, letters and newspaper cutting associated with the local poet William Butler Yates including a copy of his 1923 Nobel Prize winning medal!
