The local River at Boyle is noted for trout fishing, the lakes are popular for pike fishing and for Fly fishing in May. Lough Key Forest Park is a great family day with its interactive game set, tree walks and zip wires.

~ The area is a renowned anglers paradise with trout fishing available (March - September) in the River Boyle (4 Miles) Lough Key and nearby Lough Arrow (2.5) are renowned as top class pike fisheries. Boat hire is available locally.
~ Lough Key Forest Park is a great way to spend the day - There are many activities for children and families including cycling, fishing, segway tours, boat trips on the lake.
There is also a group challenge experience for adults and kids called "Boda Borg" It is in interactive game set within a two story building and promotes teamwork and above all fun.
