Elphin town is a five minute drive with everything you will need in respect of amenities. Carrick-on-Shannon is a fifteen minute drive positioned on the majestic River Shannon with much to offer everyone of all ages.

Elphin is a small town with two shops, a Glancy's supermarket, two restaurants, a bar, a Bank of Ireland, a health centre and a post office.
Carrick-on-Shannon is the largest town of Leitrim with an array of traditional Irish pubs and restaurants as well as numerous coffee shops, cafes, bars and bistros. There is a Tesco, SuperValu and Lidl Supermarket, a boots pharmacy, general hospital, public swimming baths and bowling alley plus an AIB bank and Bank of Ireland.
~ Elphin Windmill opened as a tourist attraction in 1996 and is the only fully restored windmill in the West of Ireland. With glowing reviews, it is certainly worth a visit for a slice of history!
~ Lough Key Forest and Adventure Park is 20 minutes drive and offers great value for an action packed family day out. Suitable for children and adults of all ages - there is something for everyone!
~ Corbally and Cando Loughs holds a good stock of brown trout, bream, roach and tench whilst Lisdaly Lough holds good amounts of bream, rudd and perch.
~ Carrick-on-Shannon Golf Club is an eighteen-hole course with views across Drumharlow Lake and Boyle River. Visitors are welcome and information regarding green fees can be found online.
~ Carrick Carnival is held annually around June.
~ Carrick Water Music Festival is held annually around July.
