Located in the village of Doohoma, 10 miles from Belmullet and an hours drive from Newport. This modern detached house is located in the grounds of another holiday home (property 13806). Comfortably furnished with a wood burning stove, gas boiler and free wifi (although signal can be affected at times). Stunning views of Tullaghan Bay from the lounge windows and a stroll to the local pub for a pint or beach for a swim, sail or wind surf in the calm beaches, noted for their lack of currents. Perriwinkle picking is popular in the area as is golf at the local golf links course.

Dohooma is a small village on the Atlantic Coast of Co. Mayo. There are two pubs, The Sea Rod Inn (Barrett's) and Tra Bui (Holmes's), a post office and two grocery stores. Doohoma is a picturesque village with panoramic sea views across Blacksod Bay. Its long sandy beaches and safe bays are perfect for water sports such as surfing, kiting, sailing, swimming, fishing and wind surfing.
Nearby Belmullet has a number of cafes, bistros, pubs and restaurants. There is a Texaco petrol station, community hospital, Bank of Ireland, chemists and a pharmacy. There is also Londis, Spar, Centra and PJ Langan supermarkets.
The scenic links golf course is located near Doohoma Head overlooking Blacksod Bay and Achill Island. The course consists of nine greens and eighteen tee boxes and is a stern test of golf with hole lengths ranging from 100 to 190 yards. All holes have a view of the sea and none are more than a few hundred yards from the beach. The holes form a horseshoe shape around the Doohoma football pitch. A practice green is available and the nearby Sea Rod public house serve drinks and refreshments. As this course is directly facing the Atlantic the weather can be very unpredictable so dress appropriately. Green Fees are EUR10 per day
Doohoma has an extensive and beautiful strand. The sea here is free from any strong currents and ideal for swimming, paddling, surfing and sailing. Doohoma has a number of stony beaches where children can pick shellfish such as winkles, mussels and limpets in safety. Oyster beds are also being cultivated.
For those interested in walking, cycling or just sightseeing there is a 12 mile ring road, along the coast of the Doohoma Peninsula with easy access to coves and shores throughout.
Visit Achill Island, marked by rugged mountains and peat bogs, the island is known for its tall sea cliffs and clean blue flag beaches. Achill Island is a true haven for adventure seekers, dive into a surf lesson at the beautiful Blueflag Keel beach, launch your kayak on the Blueway at Dugort or explore the underwater world with a snorkel session at Keem Bay.
