Boasting five Blue Flag beaches, Achill has some of the most beautiful, secluded, remote beaches in Ireland, and water sports are always easy to find. You can also enjoy leisurely walks amidst Achill's stunning scenery, a round of golf or lively traditional Irish music sessions in the islands pubs.Great Western Greenway at 42km is Ireland's longest off road walking and cycling route which links Westport and Achill Island and follows the route of the renowned Westport to Achill railway which closed in 1937.
