This newly built holiday home in the grounds of the owners farmland is situated less than two miles from Callan market town and 11 miles from Kilkenny city. Inside is spacious with ensuite bedrooms and antique style furnishings (It is not suited to children under 7). There is river fishing in season within 15 miles and there are also walking trails on the owner's farmland and the coast is less than an hours drive.

Callan is a lively market town situated 10 miles to the South West of Kilkenny City.Callan has a good choice of traditional and modern pubs and restaurants, and 2 large supermarkets. There are many places of interest to visit; the towns most prominent historical landmarks are its Abbey, Churches, Town Hall and Workhouse.
~ Callan Golf Club is only two miles away and offer green fees for visitors for a round of golf. The club also provides foor all day at reasonable prices.
Kilkenny, 11 miles away, has a large number of Pubs and restaurants to relax in after a day exploring the old medieval Kilkenny Castle.
Taxi services are available day and night in both Callan and Kilkenny.
There are several golf courses, numerous walking trails and excellent fishing in the area to keep outdoor enthusiasts happy, whilst the coast is within an hours drive.
Abhainn R* Festival in early July is an annual community festival for Callan and its rural hinterland. The festival offers an array of fun, educational and inspiring workshops, experiences and events for all age groups and abilities. Other festivals in Kilkenny include the Cat Laughs comedy festival in June, Arts Week in August, the Food Festival in October and Winter Fest in December, as well as Traditional Irish in March and Rhythm and Roots in May
Waterford City, 30 miles away, is great for a day out, with the world famous Crystal factory, waterfront or watersports on the beach, whilst Dublin is 2.5 hours drive, and well worth the trip to experience all the many delights of the capital. A less onerous option is to go by train from Kilkenny.
