** This property is on an elevated site, fenced and bounded by rock. The driveway is quite steep. Directly to the front of the property is an open gravelled area, with a steep drop of about 15 feet.
** There is a fenced area accessible from a patio window from the kitchen, which is child-friendly. Older children would need to be watched that they don't climb the fence and access the open area with the drop.

The house is situated between the towns of Caherdaniel, famous for Staigue Fort and the Derrynane National Pak and Waterville, with its splendid Atlantic views. With choices of coastal and tourist attractions in either direction and the busy town of Kenmare less than an hour away, this property will provide something for everyone. Sailing, fishing, walking and golf are all close by and beautiful Blue Flag beaches are within a couple of miles. For activity or a restful time this house is a good base for them all. Looking out on astounding views of the Kenmare River and islands, contentment is guaranteed.
The unusual setting of this property makes it perfect for a family get-together or for groups wishing to set off on a tour of the Ring of Kerry. Your first port of call could be the liberator Daniel O'Connell's house in Caherdaniel, with many historic artefacts on display. Derrynane National Historic Park offers a wealth of woodland gardens and the popular Derrynane Beach with its white sand is a must for outdoor relaxation. The hustle and bustle of country town life at its best can be experienced in Kenmare, where a wealth of tiny craft and tourist shops are attractively set and are perfect for the browser or the buyer. Kenmare also hosts various festivals and fairs throughout the year: the Annual Horse Festival in June, and in October and December a local food festival where you can experience the delights of the town's fare, and a Christmas Festival held to begin your festivities.
