Cruising: Corrib Cruising have many daily sailings which depart both Cong and Oughterard with a visit to a 5th century Monastric site in Inchagoill Island or join in with the live music on the traditional Irish Cruise.
Petersburg Activity Centre: It is situated on the southern shores of Lough Mask with hills and forests all around it. It is ideally located for land based and water based adventures.
Maam Valley: Maam is lovely wooded town land beside some great fishing lakes. The ancient woods give the place a magical feel, overshadowed by the Maamturk Mountains. "The Western Way" a long distance walking trail will take you from the southern end of Maam Valley to the ancient site of Mamean.
The cottage directly overlooks Castle Kirk which was a very early Irish Castle of the O'Flaherty clan dating from the 12th century. Built upon a peninsular island in Lough Corrib.
Near Leenane is Killary Harbour which is both a scenic and safe haven for visiting boats and yachts. Enjoy this beautiful and unique landscape by taking a cruise on the waters of fjord with Sea Cruise Connemara who offer 4 daily sailings on their luxury catamaran.
