Claddaghduff village has a church, a small shop and a pub which serves food.
Cleggan village is a short drive, 1 mile from the property, and has a number of pubs serving great seafood, as well as a local shop, post office and childrens playground. There is also traditional music in the summer months.
Visit Omey Island - direct access from the cottage accessible at low tide. There is also the Omey Races which takes place annually on the strand in Claddaghduff.
Cleggan Beach riding centre; Take horse riding lessons, for all levels children and adults, or experience a trek. Trekking times are dependent on tide times, booking in advance is therefore advisable. The centre is open all year round.
Take a boat trip to beautiful Inisbofin Island or Inishturk Island - daily departures from Cleggan.
There are many stunning beaches in the area, Fountain Hill, Rossadillisk, Sellerna, Fountain Hill in addition to Omey Island.
The vibrant town of Clifden is only 9 miles from the cottage. Offering award winning restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as unique shops and galleries, ideal for a day out. There is also a Supervalu, Lidl and Aldi supermarket, laundrette, bank, and a pharmacy.
