Cleggan is the nearest village and has four bars, a grocers, post office, restaurant and take-away. Clifden town is only 7 miles away and has a bank and a number of local pharmacies.
Cleggan Beach Riding Centre: Riding centre offering horse riding lessons for all levels, from beginner to international standard, and ages. A selection of lessons in groups or private. Trekking is also available to Omey Island, weather and tide dependant. Shorter treks across moorland and beach also available especially for children. Boots and hats are available.
Inishbofin Ferry: Sailing from Cleggan to Inishbofin Island, Sailing times: seven days a week, Winter schedule: October to March, and Summer schedule: March to October, a variety of availability, check online for more details. All sailings are subject to weather conditions.
