Rathmullan is a small village with four bars, a shop, three cafes and a restaurant. There is an equestrian centre, a spa and a sailing/watersports club.
Fanad is renowned for its fishing and for an angling experience in the "home of the browns", there are many well stocked lakes to choose from.
~ Rathmullan Charters specialize in Wreck, Reef, Tope and Shark fishing. They offer sight seeing, cruises and fishing trips with experienced crew.
~ Lough Swilly Car Ferry connects the Fanad and Inishowen peninsulas sailing between Rathmullan and Buncrana. The ferry runs between June and September offering easy travel for touring.
~ Steeped in history, Rathmullan is home to ruins of a medievel castle (the Fort of Mullans) and the surrounding areas offer even more including Fort Dunree.
