Greencastle is commonly known as a fishing village. It has 3 restaurants and 3 pubs which offer traditional Irish Music.
Moville is a traditional market town with 8 pubs, 6 restaurants, a local pharmacy and bank in the town centre.
Greencastle Golf Club; The club was founded in 1892 as a nine hole course, in it's centenary year the course was redesigned by the late Eddie Hackett. This redesign included the addition of a further nine holes. The course is now 5269 metres in length, with a par of 69, and a SSS of 67 off the competition tees. There are six par three holes and a stream comes into play on three holes. Open to visitors, green fee rates available and buggies and trollies also available for hire, booking in advance is necessary.
Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planitarium, located in the Old Coastguard station, overlooking the Greencastle Harbour, there is also a shop and museum. Summer opening hours; Monday to Saturday; 9.30-5.30 and Sunday 12.00-5.30, Winter opening; Monday to Friday; 9.15-5.30.
You can get on a 15 minute car ferry from Greencastle which takes passengers to Magilligan in Northern Ireland and the beautiful Causeway Coast and Glens.
