Located in the village of Laghey just 4 miles from Donegal Town. This 19th century restored olde-world cottage is reminiscent of yesteryear with its low ceilings and doorways, uneven flooring and steep steps (making it unsuitable for U12). It enjoys a charming traditional feel with its open fire and woodburning stove. A vast selection of books and DVD's (sorry no TV channels) are provided including free WiFi. Nearby is Murvagh Blue Flag Beach 2 miles away popular for water sport activities with lifeguards on duty between June and September. Horse riding in Tullen strand near Bundoran or learn to surf at Rossbeigh beach.

Laghey has a pub, bar and restaurant along with a chip shop. There are also several shops and garage's including two Eurospar Supermarket's and an Esso.
Donegal Town Centre is 4 miles away and has an abundance of pubs, restaurants and shops including a Post Office, Aldi and several banks.
~ Laghey Blast Festival is a family, friendly, fun, festival, with kids entertainment and events throughout the day. Usually held the first week of May.
~ Donegal Castle: Take a step back in time in this imposing building on the banks of the River Eske. Once a stronghold of the O'Donnell's, it was rebuilt in the 17th century by Sir Basil Brooke; guided tours are available.

~ Blue Stack Mountains: unspoilt and rugged terrain just north of Donegal town with many small lakes and streams.
~ Donegal Town Waterbus: a great way to view the beautiful scenery of Donegal Bay. Situated at the quay in Donegal Town, the boat has its own bar which serves alcohol and soft drinks. Three trips a day of around an hour and a half in peak season. Tickets available from the Tourist office beside the quay.
