Situated 3 miles from Lettermacaward and 5 miles from Dungloe and Glenties. This is one of two charming thatched holiday cottages boasting breath-taking views over Trawenagh Bay. They are over 300 years old and have been lovingly restored and tastefully furnished retaining many traditional features such as the vaulted ceiling and half door. A small stream runs to the side of the house. Enjoy complete relaxation before you embark on a day of exploring, walking in the Derryveagh Hills, climbing Mount Errigal or taking a boat trip around Slieve League. Property 15436 is on the same ground and together they can sleep 12.

Lettermacaward - 3.8 miles away is home to two pubs, a local convenience stop and shop, post office, petrol surgery and doctors surgery. Elliotts Local Traditional Irish bar offers free WiFi and traditional Irish Music every Friday night. Gweebarra Bar serves hot food throughout the day.
Dungloe, 5 miles, is home to number of supermarkets and convenience stores including Aldi and Lidl,2 bars, a selected of pubs/restaurants serving food, a cafe and a Chinese and Indian Restaurants. There are also several banks including AIB, a pharmacy and post office.

~Embark on a day of exploring The Lanes (Boreens) around the cottages following the coast road, walking or cycling into Maghery and Dungloe.
~ Dooey Beach, 5 miles, was awarded the Green Coast Award for 2019 for excellent water quality and high environmental standards. Also a great spot for surfing and other water sports.
~ Malin Head - The most northerly headland in Ireland on the Inishowen Peninsula, visit the highest pub in Ireland - stunningly beautiful.
~Inisboffin/Arranmore - why not hop on a ferry over to this little island with its wonderful walks, cycling routes, angling and even superb scuba diving opportunities.
~ Glenveigh National Park - 2nd largest park in Ireland fantastic day out for all the family.
~ Enjoy a game of Golf at Portnoo Golf Club or Cruit Island. There are many of the beautiful, coastal clubs in the area
~ Maghery, 12.8 miles away, is situated on the official Donegal Cycle Route which follows most of the route taken by the Wild Atlantic Way.
~ The Maghery Pony Club meets on Maghery beach every Saturdays throughout the year. Visitors are welcome to attend. There is a fee to participate and ponies are provided.
