Just ten minutes' drive to the bustling Donegal town with shopping and a vibrant nightlife.

Ballintra is a small village with a shop and a local pub. There is a bus station in Ballintra with buses 292 and 480 going to Donegal Town centre daily.
Laghey is a slightly larger village with five shops including a Spar, a restaurant, two pubs and a local chipper.
Donegal Town has a variety of independent shops, supermarkets such as SuperValu and Aldi, many pubs and restaurants. There are four banks, a post office, three pharmacies, an opticians and a hospital.
~ Rath Lough in three miles east of Ballintra and stocks a good amount of brown trout. The seasons runs from March to October.
~ Donegal Golf Club in Murvagh is a challenging 18-hole course with panoramic views of Bluestack Mountains, Donegal Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors are welcome and green fees can be found online.
~ Donegal Bay Waterbus offers tours around the Bay visiting the seal colony on Seal Island and the Bluestack Mountains. Relax in the fully stocked bar with commentary and a cabaret show! The trip lasts for around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
~ Donegal Craft Village was established in 1985 and showcases contemporary arts and crafts. There are six workshops around a central courtyard with highly skilled craftspeople presenting their work.
