Ardara has a selection of pubs and restaurants, Texaco and Esso filling stations and several local convenience stores.
Donegal Town is 18 miles way and has an abundance of pubs, restaurant and shops including Aldi and Lidl Superstores along with a post office, bank, hospital and pharmacy.
There are several beaches nearby including Ballinreavy Strand, Maghera and Narin Blue Flag Beach.
~ Ardara Heritage Centre; tells the story of Donegal tweed from the shearing of sheep to the manufacture of the woven cloth.
~ The Award Winning Narin and Portnoo Links is an 18-hole golf course offering Green Fees and a truly unique experience. A round of golf is EUR120, or EUR60 in off season. Two round special- EUR180 or EUR100 in off season.
~ Narin and Portnoo Beach; Narin is a Blue Flag beach along the Wild Atlantic Way. This beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2018. During the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August, the beach is attended by a lifeguard. There are toilet facilities nearby and ample parking is also available.
~ Maghera Caves and Beach; 0.6 miles - located beneath Slievetooey mountain and some are accessible at low tides from Maghera Strand. There are over 20 caves, 8 arches and 5 tunnels which can be visited, ideally by Kayak or other small craft. Access to the beach is via a car park and a short 200 metre walk to the caves.
