Comfortable and silent home in nature
The Cater Family, June 2019
Riverside Cottage is warm, well maintained and equipped. Beds were comfortable and the situation is private even though the owners live nearby. The owners were welcoming, even though we were late arriving, and were very helpful, ensuring we found a number of things we had come to Donegal looking for, particularly some wonderful traditional Irish fiddle playing and singing. Just outside Glenties proved to be a very good jumping off point for a number of places that were both beautiful and very interesting. We both hope that we'll be able to return to the area some time soon in the future.
The Reel Family, October 2016
Our hosts, Rosemary and Tim could not have been more welcoming. Their friendliness and helpfulness created a relaxing atmosphere and greatly added the enjoyment of our holiday. The cottage is set near their own dwelling but this did not impinge on our sense of independence, they let you get on with your holiday, but they are there if you need them. They provided us with contact telephone numbers for them both. The holiday cottage is a beautiful barn conversion with two bedrooms both with en-suite bathroom. It is set in a beautiful part of Donegal in a quiet but accessable location. With easy access to supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Highly recommended!

No need to look any further, this accommodation is perfect! Stayed here with my daughter and her two boys aged 12 and 10. The moment we arrived and met the owners, their lovely children and Sweetie their dog we and the children knew we had booked the right place. The kids eyes lit up as they were supplied with body boards, fishing nets and buckets and spades. On the kids beds were a cuddly toy each to take home at the end of the holiday. The information of where to go was invaluable. There are so many beautiful beaches to explore and the sea is crystal clear. If beaches are not your thing and mountains are you are very well catered for, as the whole area is surrounded by mountains waiting to be explored. All water activities can be found close by, cycling is well sorted and driving is easy peasy. Maghera caves are a must to explore but you need to check the tide times (this is easy info to find out). Glenveagh is another must see and is very nice drive to get there. If you want to experience an exhilarating high speed boat ride, the rib boat from Donegal Harbour is exciting. For the ride on the rib children need to be able to have their feet on the ground when seated (horse riding style)so unless your child is bigger than average, 8-9yrs old would probably be the youngest.
The Whybrows, June 2013
We had an excellent time in Glenties and would highly recommend it was fantastic , owners were really lovely and very accomodating.
The Betts Family, July 2012
A well Modernised property with the benefits of a traditional thick walled cottage, and of modern decor and equipment. One of the bathrooms is fully adopted for disabled use. The decor in the bedrooms is particullarly tastefull, nothing skimped upon. The owners were very helpful and welcoming, without being intrusive. They went the extra mile when we needed assistance.

Very well equipped for a range of customers; families, couples including disabled access. Peaceful, but central location for Donegal, beaches, National Parks and mountains. Exceptionally, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable owners.
