Great location by the sea. Quiet despite being on the road. Very nice and helpful hosts and fair value for money.

Shiels Family, October 2017
Fantastic location and a great base for exploring Connemara. We arrived to a lovely, warm stove and a bottle of wine from the lovely owner. Great facilities for cooking etc. It is a lovely, comfortable house, allowing for a very relaxing break. The beach is literally across the road. Our little dog loved her holiday!

Richard Rogers, September 2017
Brilliant location with wonderful views in a lovely part of the world. Welcoming hosts and dog friendly.

Mr and Mrs Steemson, October 2016
We went to this property for a quiet relaxing week in early autumn and this is exactly what we got and more. We could not have imagined a more beautiful setting for this property and the owner was so welcoming, she even brought us homemade wheaten loaf which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had great weather for autumn although the wood burning stove helped also. We had our dog with us and she really enjoyed the close proximity of the beach and the walks, this is surely somewhere we will return.

Mr D Clarke., October 2016
We were bowled over by the location of the bungalow- 40 metres from the beach. Connemara while very rugged is also a beautiful place. The owner was vey friendly and helpful and was there when we required. The bungalow was vey cosy with storage heaters and a log burning type fire. The kitchen is extremely well equpped and boasts a large gas range and a electric oven. We enjoyed the bottle of wine the owner left us. If you opt to go on day outs there are plenty of options within easy striking distance. Nearby Clifden (5) miles away as a host of good eating houses and well stocked supermarkets.

The Collins party, October 2013
Great location. Stayed at this property in October 2013. Had a wonderful relaxing break. The property had everything required and the peat burning stove was a delight. The owner welcomed my wife and myself with homemade scones and jam which was greatly appreciated. We visit this area regularly and look forward to our next visit. Would certainly recommend this property.

The Nehou party, April 2013
Probably the best place to stay in Connemara. We've rented this house in April and were back again in September because we fell in love with the area, and the house could not be more equiped and ideally located. Every evening or as much as we could, after a long and exciting day travelling around the county, we used to rest in the sofa, with the smell of turf burning in the stove. From there we could admire the wonderful sunset reflecting on the bay. From the other windows we used to spend long minutes watching the poneys in the surrounding fields. They sometimes come closer to say hello! The owners, are really friendly and don't miss any occasion to make you happier. They live just next door and came from time to time to bring us little gifts like homemade breads and fresh fish, which we cooked in the great kitchen. There is a big oven, as well as a recent washing machine and dryer, so you can wash your clothes in the middle of the week. The bedrooms are reasonnably big, really quiet, with one en-suite. The other 2 rooms share a bigger bathroom. The garden is overlooking the bay, and you just have to cross the road to reach the beach, which is a beautiful coral strand. Clifden is not far and you find everything you need in the local shops. We hope to be back again soon and would definitely come back to this holiday home.

The McIntyre Family, July 2012
Very friendly and helpful. Best thing about this property *location!

Diane Eaton, May 2012
This house is situated in a truly magical place on the west coast of Ireland in Connemara. There's a magnificent view through every window. From the front you look out over the Coral Strand and a corral with a lively Connemara pony at Mannin Bay and the Atlantic. The house faces due west, so we had some spectacular sunsets. From the back of the house the view is of typical stony Connemara fields with ponies and hares with the 12 Bens in the distance. The house is located about 10 minutes from Clifden with the car, and just down the road from Keogh's pub and shop in Ballyconneely. it was therefore very easy and convenient to go shopping or out to eat. The general area has a lot to do and see, especially if you like to walk or sight see with the car. There are amazing views around every corner. The house itself is relatively new, and comfortable. We couldn't get the wifi to work, but didn't miss it. So that's sure proof of a true holiday!!!

The Kennedys, May 2012
This property is in a stunning location - sea views to the front and a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery. Good facilities and a welcoming owner who brought fresh baked bread, fish and scones.

Larry, October 2011
Location - right on the beach. Very good standard of furnishings in kitchen.

Felicity, July 2010
A well equipped cottage. Beautiful views both directions, very light and airy, Comfortable interior furnishing, great for exploring the area, we mostly explored the area with bikes, good access to deserted beaches by bike, amazing clear sea

Stephen, June 2010
Excellent. We visited Clifden, Roundstone and went swimming and visited beaches. Would recommend Keoghs for eating out.

Philip , May 2010
Quiet. It is about 1 mile to the nearest pub/shop/postoffice which are all good. It is around 5 miles to Clifden which was very nice a\nd had everything that we needed. We went rock pooing on the beach across the road from the property, sightseeing in a general area and also went for a few meals out. The beach across the road in Clifden was particularly nice. Most of the pubs were of a similar standard to each other.

Paula and Jess, June 2009
We had a very relaxing 2 weeks; we can't believe how quickly the time passed. Lovely comfy cottage with fantastic views.

Denis and Diane, September 2008
This has been a wonderful holiday for us, our fourth trip to Ireland. We arrived to wonderful scenery the best was yet to come, our own coral beach with ever changing mountain view, a delightful location. Many thanks to the owners who made us feel very welcome everything was spotless, we really liked the high standard of furnishing, comfy bed and the top of the range kitchen was a joy to use.
