Carmody Family, April 2017
Excellent location for the town of Dungarvan, need a car to travel to nice beaches but a car to travel to nice beaches but a car is the best way to see Ireland anyway. Beautiful house.

Nelson Family, June 2015
Good location, very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent house with plenty of space, quiet secluded garden. Only a short distance to walk to pubs and shops and very friendly people.

Mrs Alice Ghosh, May 2014
This is a lovely clean modern 3 bedroom house in a very good house, in a very good and convenient location. Well equipped for all needs for a holiday. Helpful caretaker, parking good. Shops not too far.

The Bonner Family, August 2012
We loved the property and its proximity to Dungarven, with its many coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Being set within a gated development it was safe for the 3 year old in our party. Three showers were appreciated.

Mr Vandome, July 2012
This property was well situated in a quiet location and all amenities nearby. The owner came to see us and was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time staying in Dungarven. Shame we had bad weather. We would recommend this property to others.

The Duke Party, February 2012
This was a great house;wondeful. We hope to go to it again late this year. Well done!

Dorinda, September 2011
Situated in a private road; it made the safety aspect very good. Parking was good, neighbours very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to local shops, pubs and handy store. Property very modern and roomy, very well equipped. Beds and linen very nice.

The Brimacombe Family, August 2011
Lovely, quality, furnished cottage with home from home feel. The cottage was well equipped for self catering in a good location within walking distance of shop and resturants and harbour was a good base to explore S E Ireland.

M Figini, October 2010
The area was very picturesque, quiet and secluded but safe. We visited the town and also friends who lived in the nearby area. The area has great natural beauty, varied between beahes, woodland, rivers and mountains. The town is a traditional Irish town with local pubs and restaurants. Would recommend Merry's Pub and Restaurant.

David, September 2010
The property is located in a friendly country town. We relaxed and walked on the beach at Clonea. Would recommend visiting Helvic head and the Quay.

Carol, July 2010
We cant wait to return and we've not even left yet. It's such a lovely property in a good area within walking distance to town. Central for driving to other towns. Many thanks to the owners for such a lovely warm welcome.

Judith, June 2010
The area is close to shops and beaches. We went cycling, walking and shopping. Would recommend visiting Dungarvan which is a really nice town and only 5 minutes walk away. The Shamrock pub served some good food.

D Davis, May 2010
This is a lovely area. A bit like England, everywhere is very green and there are plenty of towns to visit. As my wife is disabled, most of our sightseeing has to be done by car but there are plenty of places to see within easy reach. Take the R675 from dungarvan to Tranmore, the copper Coast road, which is a lovely quiet ride. Another one is the R669 from Cappoquin to Cather. A place well worth a visit is Cobh near Cork. Tiffany's in Dungarvan shopping centre is a good value carvery and in Cobh, Gilbert's restaurant is good value for a light lunch.

Mr Davis, May 2010
Very quiet and peaceful - residents care, no constant passing traffic. Also immaculately kept and well furnished. Wasn't furnished from local jumble sales! I really don't think there is anything to improve. This is a lovely area - a bit like englnad - everywhere is very green and there are plenty of towns to visit. As my wife is disabled most of our sightseeing has to be done by car but there are plenty of places to see within easy reach. Take the R675 from Dungarvan to Tramore - the coppor road - its very interesting. Dungarvan shopping centre - good value carvery. Just such a nice place!

Bernie, December 2009

Thank you for a comfortable stay at your house. Nice, warm, comfy beds, clean and fab shower(main bathroom). Visited all over, good day out Blarney Castle, kissed stone (well Steve did). Fairy glen and witches caves to explore for children. Cork great city-take tour bus, takes 1 hour well worth it as you wouldn't do it all on foot. Waterford Crystal OK, kids found it boring. Went to all the beaches in Tramore, Dunmore East, Dollar BayHook Lighthouse. Kids liked beaches, loking for shells, etc.
Will be back again next year ( No more hols until then)
Thanks a million. X x x x SJW

Jean-Paul, Fiona and William (Cambs, UK), October 2008
We really loved our week here. Friendly housekeeper who helped us get in early. Thank you to the owner for the highchair and cot and good to meet you, very helpful neighbour(l/h side) who assisted me in a puncture we had and took me to the local garage. Good choice of places to visit in the region, one of our favourite was Clonmel, very pleasant town. 30+ pubs in Dungarvan and we made a point to go to them all and no disappointments. Personal top 3 would be (1)The Parish-never seems to clase and friendly owners (2) Enterprise Inn-also friendly and welcoming (3) The Local-great when there is music. Cant wait to come back. JP, Fiona and William.

Brenda, Barbara, Ken and Geoff-Surrey, October 2008

David and Sheila Gordon and Roy-Sue Ford (Essex), September 2008
To the owner;
We love your house, your cleaner was very helpful on our arrival, having travelled from 2am, we appreciated being able to get in early. We think the Dungarvan Area is one of the best in the region. We have visited Waterford (Crystal) upset husbands, their wallets going home lighter; been to Limerick, Tipperary, Hook Lighthouse, Jameson's Distillery- lots of other places, weather been very kind to us. We recommend to put bin out Thursday night.
Kind Regards,
Gordon and Ford families

Quiet and a good location for a traveling holiday. Very friendly and helpful owner whom we met several times. Darren, Helen and Hannah(2 1/2 yrs old) Smallman (South Wales), June 2008
Myself and hubby visited Dungarvan 6 yrs ago. Loved it so much that we thought our daughter's first holiday should be in Ireland. The weather hasn't been great but we've managed to keep busy. Visited Hook Lighthouse, the guide informed us that it was built by monks - Hannah kept asking to see the chipmonks! Lismore garden and play area is great, also tried the Lismore heritage Centre, staff there are really helpful and friendly. Really glad of the children's play area in Dungarvan (next to Euro spar). Lovely walk over the river - spot the resident heron's. Bought most of the picnic food from Supervalu(No e) in Dungarvan - cheaper than Spar. Visited Ardmore beach, took plenty of pics for Hannah's first holiday album. Stunning scenery and nice pottery/craft shop. Thanks Joe for renting out your lovely home -'DIOLCH'

Val and Paul Kyprianoo (england) Hilary and Dermot (england), June 2008
Many thanks for offering this amazing house in a beautiful location. Most of the week cloudy and wet - Typical Irish weather. Friday made up for the whole week - beautiful and sunny. Definitely be back here. Merry's a local pub, a definate for eating and the Tandoori restaurant offer a very good portion of tasty food with beautiful views of the harbour. Lismore Castle is spectacular. Set in acres of wonderful countryside with a quaint town. Ballysaggartmore Towers is a must - a walk through enchanted woods with dense green follaige leading up to the Towers. The neighbours are very friendly if you want any information. The next door neighbour to the left of you is the man who kindly took Paul fishing. Many Thanks.
Joe you'll be seeing us again!

Cathy, Steve, Machteld, Emily, Joris and Liam Doyle (Netherlands and England), May 2008

A lovely holiday in a beautiful location. The house added greatly to our enjoyment - a great place to relax. Lots of things to do and see. We particularly enjoyed Jameson's Distellery at Middleton and a drink of Guinness (for my husband and dad) and an Irish Coffe (for me) in The Moby Dick pub at Youghal.
Look out for us - We'll be back.
