Thank you for such a warm welcome on our first holiday to Ireland. Your old home was the perfect place and base to explore this part of the country. We were blessed with lovely weather to enjoy our days out to the Gap, Torc waterfall, Muckross, the lakes, Dingle peninsula and the Ring. Can't wait to start planning the next section of our continued adventure on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Douglas and Janet Castle, Cornwall, England, September 2017

We arrived tired Saturday evening and with the first view of the cottage we said 'wow'. Beautiful garden, pretty cottage, cosy inside. Overall the view and surroundings are beautiful and fairly quiet. We loved discovering this part of the world and had a great holiday.
The Lowry Party, May 2017
This property is in a very tranquil area with stunning views over the surrounding mountains but within a few kilometers of the busy town of Killarney. The cottage will not disappoint. It does exactly what it says on the tin and is an excellent location for touring around the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula and many more areas.
Bill and Carol, Castlerock, N.I., May 2017
A beautiful cottage set in a wonderful area. It is the perfect location to tour the local area and our visits to the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula were outstanding.

Enjoyable stay in a very peaceful and friendly environment.
Ana and Ralf Winzer Garcia, August 2016
We loved the cottage, the gardens, the interior of the house and the very nice and friendly owners. It's remote and quiet but still close enough to Killarney (just 7 minutes drive) and to all attractions in the area. We had the perfect 2-week holiday and the cottage was a big part of that. Thank you Barry and Maria for everything. We will certainly be back.
Ana and Ralf, August 2016
Wonderful house in a wonderful landscape. Very nice and very recommendable owners as well. We were welcomed with fresh homemade bread, the lights were on and classical music playing. This cottage has all the facilities you'd need for a several month stay. It was more than sufficient for us. The surrounding gardens and the back patio were also great additions to relax, to have an outdoor dinner or just to hang out and watch the chickens walking around. All in all a great holiday in one of the most beautiful places we've been. We would move in permanently. We will be back for sure. Thank you very much!
Bill and Donna, August 2016
My eyes welled up with tears when we first drove up to the cottage. We had finally found the cottage to make our deams of an Irish vacation come true. We thank you for all you have done to offer such a beautiful home away from home. Each day at this cottage was a wonderful experience. From our first hello, to the bread, jam and eggs for our first breakfast, you created such warmth and welcoming. We have precious memories of our time here. There is no place in Ireland that we would rather go to.
Dympna and Peter, July 2016

Sarah and Rob, June 2016
What a wonderful first week in Ireland. We never saw a drop of rain and the sun shone all week. We did all the wonderful trips in the area and were not disappointed with the absolutely beautiful scenery. The cottage was all we hoped for and the garden was a picture. Many thanks for a beautiful stay.
Mr Dickmann, June 2016
One of the best holiday cottages we ever had. It is such a bright and lovely house with a beautiful garden and we felt at home right away. The location with the really breathtaking Gap of Dunloe was perfect for us and it is ideal for exploring the surrounding area including the Killarney National Park, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. All essential facilities like supermarkets, petrol station, ATM are within easy driving distance and in nearby Killarney (8km) you can surely find enough pubs, bars and restaurants for every taste. Highly recommendable. Jeannine and Thorsten , Germany

A perfect week in a lovely cottage on a nice setting
Do not miss Killarney, the lakes, Muckross house and gardens, Ross Castle* So much to discover ! Gap of Dunloe, Ring of Kerry, Beara peninsula, Dingle: a week is not enough to see everything. The nature, the monuments, the people*
You will be charmed also by the friendly evening visits of the dog Spatz, as well as the hens and duck in the lovely garden.
The Francois Family, July 2015
We had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage! So many things to see and do! Did not have time to see everything but we saw most. The owner and family were very welcoming; and we had delicious brown bread made waiting for us on arrival * so pleasing! We loved having the everyday visit of the dog, the cockerel, the hens and the duck! Thank you for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable with charming period decor, a beautiful garden and views to the mountains. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They even baked soda bread to welcome us! An ideal location, near to Killarney but also close to the Gap of Dunloe with wonderful mountain scenery.

Burkard party, May 2015
Great Stay in Kerry County. Everything was above our expectations, your beautiful cottage, the county Kerry and the friendliness of the Irish people.
This cottage is a great place to stay in Kerry County, very near to Killarney.
As we arrived tired and hungry late evening from Dublin, the cottage greeted us with the key in the door, inside soft lights, radio playing music and a snack on the kitchen table. We felt right away at home.
The cottage is cozy and nicely decorated, with everything you may need, including working Wi-Fi. The beautiful gardens in front of the house are like a small park. Beside a central heating system there is also the original old fire place working very well for cozy evenings after coming 'home' from sightseeing. The Kerry County Attractions are all in easy reach.
The owners of the cottage, are living near-by and are a good 'tourist info' and assisted us also in the purchase of spare parts which we cannot find here in The Philippines. We also enjoyed the friendly big dog, the fat cock with his single hen and his adopted duck, which visited us from time to time.
This cottage is a lovely place: To enjoy the Irish Kerry County, to relax and to be happy.
The Kimber Party, May 2015
We have enjoyed our week and the cottage is lovely. The county of Kerry is spectacular. Many thanks.
Foster Party, May 2015
Relaxing, beautiful and peaceful place to stay!
This is a lovely cottage, nicely decorated with antiques and comfortable furniture and also beautifully landscaped. The owner was a wonderful host that greeted us upon arrival and when we left, then left us to enjoy our stay in isolation, without intrusion. It's close to some wonderful attractions as well. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen was sufficient to accommodate our needs. I would highly recommend this property if you're visiting Fossa!!
Gary and Joan, September 2014
Thanks to the owner and family. We had a wonderful time. The cottage was fantastic, everything we needed and more. Plenty of walks and cycles. I recommend Tomie's wood as a great circular walk and just down the road. We hope to return soon.

Perhaps we will see you again, till then God bless you and your family.

A quirky cottage with a lovely front garden in a brilliant location.
Julie and Brian, July 2014
Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your paradise with us. It was lovely having the warm welcome from the dog and the cat. The area is a mass of lovely friendly people especially in Kate Kearney's cottage where they did everything they could to accommodate everyone with amazing hospitality and food. Rhythm of the Dance was also a big highlight of our holiday.
Kerry is an amazing place. The people are so full of grace. Torc waterfall was so cool, Ladies' view, the Gap of Dunloe is a must. Muchross house is a joy to behold. Blarney castle, kiss the stone, bend right back, you mustn't moan. Ring of Dingle, Craig cave too, Blasket Island to name but a few.
Alex and Ursula, July 2014
Thank you very much for the beautiful stay in your lovely cottage. A bit of old world charm.
Bernie and Janice, July 2014

Many thanks for the warm welcome. We and our 1.5 year old son enjoyed it a lot. The garden is beautiful and a great place to play.
Bawden, May 2014
May I say that this cottage in Fossa, Killarney was a lovely cottage.
The cottage was very comfortable, we slept well on the double bed, the water was lovely and hot. The Wi-Fi worked for which I was very pleased as I am a Chairman of one Limited Company and Financial Director of a Charity.
Barry Murphy, the owner of the Cottage, is a lovely man. To be truthful, we enjoyed our holiday particularly the ferry arrangements. Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula were all lovely places to visit. I love walking and at present can do 10/11 miles, my wife is up to 4 miles. So we do a little walk in the morning and Sylvie gets rid of me in the afternoon whilst I do a reasonably long walk.
May I say that driving across Ireland on the M7 is a pleasure, the roads are somewhat empty, that is if one can escape from Dun Laoghaire in the first instance. Dublin Port seems to be better, apart from that long tunnel.
I hope this is a fair and reasonable report on the cottage. We will be wishing to visit Ireland again. Next time we will be looking for a cottage for 2 people, including heating we control and Wi-Fi in the Counties of Clare, Galway and Mayo. Any suggestions, would be welcome.
Stephen and Katie, April 2014
We enjoyed a wonderful week here, 7 days of sunshine. This cottage is delightful and we enjoyed exploring Killarney's national park and surroundings. Thanks to the owner.

After many, many years of renting holiday cottages in various places i.e. England, Scotland, Wales and now Ireland, we can honestly say this is the most unique cottage we have had, please do not change it. Beautiful part of Ireland, we have thoroughly enjoued our time here and even the weather has been kind to us.
Pieter and Annie - Oegstgeest Holland, June 2013
Enough positive words have been written about property 530, and we couldn't agree more with them. But we also appreciated the privacy the owner and his family gave to us. No intrustions, no interference, we lived our own relaxed life. Thank you dog and cat for your pleasant visits, we trust you like our company as well. You surely gave us a homelike feeling. We never holiday in the same place twice, there are so many other interesting places to visit. But we have taken Gortreagh Cottage to our hearts. Thanks!!

This fine house reminds me of the beloved Christmas Calendras from my youth with the secret doors:
'Every single thing you touch
Every book you dare open
Leads you into a fabulous but true part
Of country and its history - as if led
By some careful and invisibly providing hands.
Even the Hoover reveals its mystery
With a charming smaile and
Finally all the light bulbs light up!'
Our time went by too quick to get all 24 open so we'll have to be back some day* Thank you for being your guest.

Peaceful countryside location but perfectly situated for all amenities and tourist venues. Plenty of varied and interesting activities from shopping to mountain walking. There are some very interesting places waiting to be explored such as The National Park and particularly the traditional farms at Muckross House

A super cottage and a wonderful location. Difficult to say which was the best day but the trip to Lady's view and a walk around the Black valley was pretty special ate in Mulligan's (above O'meara pub) excellent meal and service also had a great ride around muckross lake. Loads still to do so will be back soon.
