Excellent centrally located property with easy access to motorways. We enjoyed this property very much. The owners offer plenty of information and we benefitted from their recommendations several times. We felt very much at home and we could go anywhere in the country within 2 1/2 hours.

The Mason Family, June 2018
Beautiful property, very friendly owners. Could not be more helpful. A warm welcome with tea and scones. Very comfortable and clean. Beautiful gardens, very private.

The Potters, May 2018
It was a very nice place to stay. Our interactions with the owners were very rewarding and educational. We learned much about "real" Ireland. They were also most helpful in recommending day trips and activities based upon our interests.

The Wylie Family, July 2017
This property was ideal for the three of us. It was bright, spacious and surrounded by colourful gardens with gorgeous flowers. Cottage was well equipped and very private. The owners were very kind and helpful and readily available without being intrusive. Nice area and only 40 minutes to Galway/Salthill. Would have no heistation in recommending the cottage.

The Dooley Family, July 2017
If you want the best experience of a rural setting, peace and tranquility, then look no further than this excellent cottage and the fantastic owners. From the very start it felt like we were visiting extended family. We arrived to a very warm welcome and homemade (that day) scones and tea. There was a drawer with basic food stuffs, pasta, cereals, a few tins, etc. if needed. The generosity and helpfulness of the owners and their family went above and beyond what we would normally expect from a holiday rental. The cottage is perfect and set in its own secluded gardens. Our 11 year old daughter is a wheelchair user and all areas were accessible for her. The doors are widened and there was more than enough room to move her around both inside and outside the property. The owner made a ramp before our arrival for the front threshhold which is only a couple of inches high anyway but it made it really easy for the chair. The gardens are beautifull maintained and there is even a secret garden style path to follow around the lovely fruit trees in the rear south-facing garden. Everything you need to cook is stocked in the drawers of the kitchen. We wanted for nothing. The owner has a knowledge of the best places to visit across the whole of Ireland that is almost encyclopaedic. We have had holidays all over Britain and Ireland over the last 10 years and this was the best holiday we have had by a country mile thanks in no small measure to our fantastic hosts. It was a wrench to leave at the end of this trip and we are already planning a return. We have even discussed the idea of moving over to live in Ireland the experience was so good. I cannot recommend highly enough a stay at this cottage and with these lovely people.

Perfect cottage
We rented this cottage for our wedding in Ireland in September. It is a great little find with all the amenities you could wish for. It has all modern concepts for the kitchen, living and sleeping you could need, plus the added advantage of a log burner compete with turf to burn and keep you warm. It is in a rural location located within a working farm but separate with your own privacy. It is located about a 7 minute drive from the nearest town. It is perfect if you want an escape from noise and to relax in the lovely garden area. The owners could not be more helpful or accommodating. They were ready and willing to help with any request, whilst also keeping an eye on the cottage when we were out, this was a help to know you have neighbours while you're here. Anyone looking for a cottage in or around the area, then this is the place to rent. We would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful and tranquil, with a hostess whose kindness is exceptional, be prepared to travel/drive fairly long distances.

Mrs. S Goodman, August 2013
Ideally situated in the countryside but accessible for the motorway to Dublin/Galway. Plenty to explore around the coast line. Excellect accommodation and the personal attention of the owner, who gave us glimpses of life on a working farm. OUTSTANDING.

We had a lovely few days in your cottage. Thank you for the welcome pack and "rescuing" us on our arrival. Thank you especially for your great hospitality and your help with everything. It has been a pleasure to meet you both and we hope that we can keep in touch. Our appreciation and sincere thanks.

We had a brilliant holiday at Ahascragh. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. The owners gave us a warm Irish welcome and really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We would very much recommend this cottage.

Located centrally and great for exploring Galway. The owners made us feel so welcome. The farm and surrounding views are stunning. Also the cottage has an amazing library for any quiet rainy days inside.
