This beautiful traditional cottage is flanked by the mountains of the Burren National Park and adjacent to the sand dunes of the Blue Flag beach of Fanore. It is 10 miles from the village of Ballyvaughan and six miles from Doolin. The house has been thoughtfully designed with an upstairs sitting area that has magnificent feature length sky-light windows, displaying breathtaking views of the beach, Aran Islands and Galway Bay. Doolin has a ferry to the nearby Aran Islands, and an hours drive will take you to Galway and beyond to Connemara. The owner may occasionally stay in the detached apartment on site within the same grounds.

Fanore Beach is one of nine sites of geological importance that form the basis of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Global Geopark. Fanore Beach is an extensive sandy beach located near the seaside village of Fanore in County Clare. The Caher river enters the sea here, which is the only river in the Burren landscape.
It is very popular with walkers, surfers and swimmers and is also close to the heart of the Burren area which can be fascinating for the botanist, zoologist, archaeologist and geologist to explore. The beach is lifeguarded during the summer and is a regular holder of the international blue flag award. The beach is located one kilometre from Fanore village which includes a restaurant, pub and village store.
Craggy Cottage is located beside the beach and the Burren walks can all be accessed directly from the cottage as the trail passes the house location including Caher Valley Loop Walk , Fanore to Ballyvaughan Trek , Burren Way, and the Black Head Looped Walk and it is on the Wild Atlantic way route, the world's newest costal touring route allowing you to explore the Burren region (one of Irelands natural wonders) at your leisure.
