The local village of Doonebg has four pubs. Three of these have excellent restaurants. During the summer season there is music in each pub. The Jazz Festival takes place the June Weekend and the Drama Festival takes place in march annually.
Kilkee Seaside Resort has 8 pubs, 6 restaurants and 3 take-away. The tourist office opens in the town during the summer months and on every Sunday there is an open market with a variety of stalls and a farmers market.
Kilrush has 6 restaurants, 7 pubs and a fabulous Marina for boating and trips are available (weather permitted) to watch the dolphins in the Shannon Estuary. The Vandeleur walled gardens are open all year round and each Thursday there is a farmers market.
