Bailieborough is a vibrant town at the foot of Lough-an-Leagh Mountain and has a variety of shops, pubs and clubs, restaurants, swimming pool and leisure centre, public library and the beautifully restored 17th Century Wesleyan Chapel Arts and Cultural Centre.
Kingscourt is located on the Cavan / Meath border with shops, pubs, restaurant, Dun a R* Forest Park which is popular for walkers.
Walkers will really enjoy the fine walks at the Castle Lake and Forest , the 2 mile lakeside path circumnavigates the lake offering fine views of the water and birds and wildlife. Exploring the forest you will find the Dungannon Fort and a monument to those who died in the 1748 rebellion at nearby Rebel Hill.
An ideal location for fishing there are a number of lakes in the area to fish. Parker's Lake,
Castle Lake, Drumkeary Lake, Skeagh Lake where you will find bream, roach, perch, pike and eel.
