It is just 4 miles from the popular village of Glengarriff, with its cafe shops and pubs. You are perfectly placed for touring the Beara Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry to the North, and West Cork to the South. The local beach; a rocky cove with sand and rockpools, is a short walk away. There are lots of walking trails in the Glengarriff Forest Park, or the Caha Mountains offer more strenuous walking. A short ferry trip from Glengarriff will take you to Garnish Island with its well known Italian Gardens.
