County Mayo

The Emerald Isle at the height of summer. The name describes the spectrum of greens from deep and lush to shimmering bright. Not surprisingly, the price to pay for all this colour is that it gets its fair share of rainfall, although the climate is moderated by the Gulf Stream, allowing a riot of fushias, rhododenrons, juniper and even palms to flourish in certain sheltered areas.
