This area is rugged and beautiful with an abundance of activities to pursue - walking, hill walking, rock climbing, fishing, surfing, watersports and there is an outdoor education centre located nearby where you can enrol in day courses. All you need to relax is on Achill, but day trips to Westport and Castlebar are recommended for shopping, bowling, cinema and excellent restaurants.
