plenty of shops. Carrick is on the Shannon river, and you can enjoy a leisurely trip on the cruiser "Moon River". After your river cruise stop into the Landmark Hotel for a drink in the new state of the art pub, or visit the "Aromas" cafe for a delicious dessert and cappuccino. Go horseback riding at Moorlands in
nearby Drumshanbo or take in the Arigna Mining Experience. Visit Sligo, a major city, where William Butler yeats is buried under the shadow of great Ben Bulben. If its fishing that you are interested in then Lough Scur a short distnace away and boat hire can be arranged locally.
