The area has many fine, unspoilt beaches where watersports are available and many other attractions include deep sea fishing, climbing, horse riding and hill walking.

Walk to the nearby Cable House Restaurant in one of the original old buildings, or to Waterville centre (400 yards) for a stroll on the promenade (in photo) or visit to its shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and beach. An active holiday can include trout fishing on famous Lough Currane, hill walking in the surrounding mountains or golfing at nearby courses. A short drive to Derrynane Beach and National Park (7 miles) offers more opportunities for watersports (activity centre) and horse riding and some of Irelands most beautiful sandy beaches. There are many scenic drives in the area, or you can tour the Ring of Kerry, visiting Killarney National Park with its beautiful lakes and mountain scenery.
