Extra Details...
**Situated on the outskirts of Galway city, in the West of Ireland, the Galway Race Festivals are world renowned. Veteran race goers, and indeed those who simply love the atmosphere, travel from around the world for the unique experience that is the Galway Races.
**What makes the Clarinbridge Oyster festival unique is the fact that a small village festival has grown into an international event of global standing. The festival usually takes place on the first weekend in September. The traditional opening of the festival takes place in the festival marquee on the Friday evening with a big band night. On Saturday, the Oyster Gala celebration is the main event of the weekend. This takes place during the afternoon in the festival marquee on the banks of the Clarin river. Participants enjoy the best of food, refreshments and entertainment, and later that night patrons enjoy the Saturday Night party. Finally, there is the Sunday Jamboree which is a family focused event in the marquee.
**On a fine sunny summer's day, you could surely believe you were in heaven sitting outside Morans in Kilcolgan sipping wine, eating succulent Galway Bay oysters and watching the swans glide gracefully by. It is a must for all seafood lovers and those who just want to relax.
