This traditional cottage is set on a family farm one mile from the village of Kilmacrenan, 6 miles from lively Letterkenny. Lovingly restored the cottage has kept the traditional feel yet has all the mod cons you could need for an enjoyable family holiday. There is a pathway through the property leading to the river Lennon where you can fish for brown trout (owner can organise licences). There is plenty to do in the area with Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Doe Castle, Glebe Gallery, Gartan Outdoor Pursuits Centre all within a short drive.

Kilmacrennan is a quiet hillside village which is skirted by the Lurgy River on the road between Dunfanaghy and Letterkenny, it is a busy village featuring a number of good restaurants and lively pubs.
Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Doe Castle, Glebe Gallery, Gartan Outdoor Pursuits Centre, numerous golf courses, riding stables, swimming are all within a 10 mile radius.
The spectacular landscapes of the Inishowen and Fanad Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive from the cottage.
Popular scenic drives in the locality include the Atlantic Drive, Knockalla Coast Road, Horn Head, and Lough Salt.
Numerous fine golf courses in a 20 mile radius – Rosapenna, Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy, Portsalon.

Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest deer population in Europe. Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own.
