This older style bungalow is only 10 minutes' walk from Skibbereen town centre and less than a 90 minutes' drive from Cork City. The lounge is bright and airy with a welcoming open fire; the enclosed rear garden is lovely for relaxing in on a sunny evening. It is close to shops, restaurants, pubs, beaches and a lovely riverside walk. Exploring West Cork from this quiet location could not be easier, with picturesque coastal villages within 10-15 minutes' drive: Baltimore, Glandore, Union Hall and Castletownshend, and the renowned nature reserve of Lough Hyne. Boat trips go from Baltimore to several islands. Make time to visit Skibbereen's Heritage Centre.

Skibbereen is often described as the "hub" of West Cork and is an ideal base from which to discover the many gems that the area has to offer.

The town is colourful and has a friendly feel to it. One of its claims to fame is its food, and almost every village has an award-winning place to eat. And impromptu live music sessions are easy to find.

Ireland has an abundance of beautiful scenery; West Cork has more than its fair share, and Skibbereen is right in the heart of it. You won't have far to go to find sandy beaches, secluded coves, fast-flowing rivers, lakes, hills and forests. Walkers, cyclists and drivers are all spoilt for choice.
