The property enjoys a bright and peaceful interior atmosphere and has been completely renovated in recent years and also enjoys a beautiful decking area to enjoy a BBQ el fresco style while taking in the wonderful sea views. Bere Island is a walkers paradise, a place of peace and tranquility with stunning scenery.

Bere Island lies one mile offshore from the fishing port of Castletownbere, between the island and the mainland lies a deep yet sheltered stretch of water which forms a spacious natural harbour of Berehaven. It is serviced by two licenced ferries sailing frequently to the Pontoon (near the Golf Course) and Castletownbere (near Super Valu). The island is seven miles long and three miles wide, and has many of the Beara Way Walking loop routes. As with the rest of the Beara Peninsula, there are numerous historical sites to view. Pubs and shops - a lighthouse and army heritage center on the island
