This charming detached former gardener’s cottage is on a beautiful wooded half acre mature site, with distant views of Carrigaholt Bay – an idyllic tranquil setting, 2.5 miles from Carrigaholt village and 4.5 miles from Kilkee seaside resort. The cottage is delightful, tastefully furnished, with a feature stone fireplace. Its enclosed, landscaped gardens with a spring well, swing and small orchard are a joy. Carrigaholt with its clean sandy beach and pier is popular for fishing and for its boat excursions to dolphin watch. The village has a small shop, post office, pubs and an award winning restaurant. Kilkee, just 4.5 miles away is a bustling seaside resort with a beautiful blue flag beach in a protective cove and rock pools ideal for families.

About Loop Head
This beautiful cottage is located in the Loop Head peninsula, an area of unspoilt beauty offering a unique experience to holidaymakers. A recent winner of the Ireland EDEN Award (a sustainable tourism award) Loop Head is the ideal location for nature lovers with beautiful beaches, coastal and cliff scenery and activities to enjoy such as birdwatching, cycling, deep sea-fishing and river fishing. There are three golf courses within 12.5 miles (20 km) of the cottage, Doonbeg, Kilkee and Kilrush. A boat trip from Carrigaholt to see the pod of wild dolphins from Carrigaholt village is an exciting and memorable day out. The Bridges of Ross a natural sea arch offers impressive cliff views and is regarded as one of the main bird watching locations on the west of Ireland.
