Winner 2011: Uragh Stone Circle, Tuosist, Kenmare taken by Jackie Burrell

Our 2011 winner Jackie said “I took this photograph while staying in an Imagine Ireland property up the side of a mountain overlooking the Cloonee Loughs. The cottage setting was breathtaking and a stay in the Kenmare area of Southern Ireland is highly recommended, also high on the list of must do’s are a trip seal watching, a very informative and entertaining trip! A drive around the beautiful Beara Peninsula is also something not to be missed and if you are brave enough and your car is up to it, a trip across the Caha Pass is very worth it”

Send in your favourite Irish Holiday Photo, and tell us about your holiday memories and you could be the lucky winner of a £300 voucher against an Imagine Ireland Holiday.

Please take a minute to read through the Terms and Conditions below before submitting your entry. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to have agreed to be bound by them when entering this competition. The Imagine Ireland Photo Competition has a number of Terms and Conditions for entry. These are important to ensure that the photo you submit is both eligible to win and meets important legal and fair criteria. Please note that any deviation from these Terms and Conditions may regretfully render your submission to the competition void. The start date of the competition is January 1st 2012 and the closing date of the competition is December 21st 2012.

  • Please submit your photo to us using one of these three methods:
    • Post your photo on our Facebook page with “Photo Competition” in the description
    • Email to photography@imagineireland.com with "Imagine Ireland Photo Competition" in the subject field.
    • Burn a Disc and post to Imagine Ireland Ltd, Photographic Competition, Embsay Mills, Embsay, Skipton, BD23 6QF, UK.

  • Photos need to be supplied in either jpeg or tiff format (these should not extend the maximum file size of 5 Mb). .
  • Minimum size: 1600 x 1200 pixel dimensions @ 72dpi or the equivalent 12cm wide @ 300dpi

It can be about any part of your holiday, e.g. the best beach moment, the great restaurants, hilarious moments, fabulous view – the list is endless. Some simple guidelines may help:

  • What you did when you got there? Highlights / recommendations for others?

  • Should a photo be identified as inappropriate whilst it has been accepted into the competition, Imagine Ireland reserves the right to remove it from the competition, disqualifying the owner (an example of this scenario is if an image is accepted, but later identified as a copyrighted image from a film or magazine where the entrant was not the photographer or the copyright holder).
